Agile development
Agile, here, means Scrum with the discipline to keep a promise about the sprint and the honesty to change the plan after it. IncogX builds in two-week increments. The client owns the product decisions.

In brief, then in detail
- A product owner who can order the work. Usually a client lead. They say what is next. IncogX does not quietly replace that decision with a technical preference.
- A team that plans its own sprint. The people who will do the work accept the sprint goal. Capacity is based on history, not on optimism in a kickoff.
- Events that earn their time. Planning, a short daily scrum, a review of working software, and a retrospective on the way of working. No extra status meeting that repeats them.
- A facilitator, not a reporter. Someone protects the sprint, surfaces impediments, and coaches the product owner and the developers. That is the Scrum Master’s job. IncogX leads play it on Scrum engagements.
How it is run
The Agile preference for working software, customer collaboration, and responding to change is real here, and so is a written baseline. Change is welcome when the review proves the last guess wrong. It is not an excuse to add scope and keep the same date. Portfolio choices, which initiative deserves the team, sit above the sprint. Inside the sprint, the goal holds unless the sponsor stops the sprint on purpose.
IncogX staffs engagements with PMP-certified project managers, business analysts who hold the Certified ScrumMaster credential, and ISTQB-certified testers. PMP is issued by PMI, CSM by Scrum Alliance, and ISTQB by the International Software Testing Qualifications Board. Certificate numbers are not published. Senior engineers on these teams have more than ten years in production systems.
Scrum events and artefacts
- Sprint planning
- Daily scrum
- Sprint review
- Retrospective
- Product backlog
- Increment
Terms, in plain language
- Scrum. A lightweight framework: a product owner, developers, a Scrum Master, and a small set of events and artefacts. IncogX uses two-week sprints.
- Product owner. The person accountable for the order of the backlog and for the value of the increment. On IncogX engagements this role usually stays with the client.
- Scrum Master. The person who makes Scrum useful: facilitation, impediments, and coaching. IncogX business analysts hold the CSM credential and apply that practice. Certificate numbers are not listed here.
- Impediment. Anything outside the sprint that is blocking done. It is named, owned, and removed. It is not a mood.
