Cloud solutions

Cloud work is an operational change with a technical plan. IncogX moves or builds systems on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud in waves, with infrastructure as code and a pipeline the client team can run.

In brief, then in detail

  • A landing zone first. Accounts, identity, network, logging, and the rules for who may change production. The application does not arrive in an empty account.
  • Migration in waves. What moves together, what stays, and how you go back if a wave fails. A weekend cutover is a choice, not a default.
  • Infrastructure as code. Environments are described, reviewed, and rebuilt. A server that exists only in someone’s memory is a risk.
  • The run, not only the move. Monitoring, backups, cost visibility, and a handover. Migration is finished when the client team can operate Tuesday.

How it is run

Cloud scope is planned with the same controls as application scope. Recovery objectives are written before the design pretends to meet them. Security is a shared responsibility: the provider secures the platform, the design must still secure identity, data, and the path to production. Spend is reviewed, because an unowned cloud bill is a portfolio failure.

Terms, in plain language

  • Landing zone. The governed foundation: identity, network, logging, and guardrails, before workloads land.
  • Infrastructure as code. Environments defined in files that can be reviewed and repeated, rather than clicked into existence.
  • Recovery objective. How much data you can afford to lose, and how fast you must be back. Named before the architecture claims to meet it.
  • Shared responsibility. The provider runs the cloud. You still own identity, data, configuration, and what you deploy.
